Renewable energy

 For the past two weeks for literacy we have been looking at renewable energy. After we completed all of our learn tasks we were asked to make a model of our school and research what renewable energy would work for our school. We then had to research how much solar panels would cost and if they would actually work for our school. There has been some incredible learning going on and we would love if you could leave us some comments on our blogs.

T-shaped literacy

 Today in Whenua we had to do the next t-shaped literacy activity above is the three energy word maps I did hope you enjoy. The easiest part for me was getting the picture on the word map because all you had to do was search up something like a negative feedback loop and it will have pictures of a negative feedback loop. The most difficult part for me was getting a lot of facts because most websites had the same information on them. By Harrison

Health Benefits of Exercise

 Every Wednesday Whenua and Taiao do the 4J's run. Today Miss Farr joined us and was shocked that half the class only went 100 metres and then hid in a bush. As a class we did research about the health benefits on exercise and why we need to do it. Here is my DLO.

Today for my learning I am doing T-shaped literacy, we had to, as you can see read supporting texts A and B and buddy up to compare and contrast the texts, I was buddies up with daisy and did text A. The hardest part of this task was trying to identify what was different about the text but in the but as the text went on the easier this got. I hope you enjoy my post.

Questions about Energy- Task 3.

- How much did you already know about energy?

The things that I knew about energy were that energy came from the sun, wind farms, electronics, Cars, Trains, Computers, Phones, Tablets, Power lines, Electrical Fences, Solar Panels, Tvs, Water Systems. 

- Were there any surprises.

I was a bit surprised when I found out that there was water energy and Many more. I was also a bit surprised that I could memorize all of these things that make energy. 

-What questions do you have about energy?

My questions about energy are how does energy work? I mean it's a bit confusing. Another question is how many things make energy? I mean, there must be thousands. 

Kiwi Investigation- Spy Maths

Properties of a circle

This week we have been exploring the properties of a circle. We started by trying to draw a perfect circle with a piece of string and some chalk. We then measured the radius, diameter and circumference of a range of circles in the class.
